During the January 29th, 2025 Sandoval County Commission Meeting, Commissioner Joshua A. Jones sponsored a proclamation signed by the Sandoval County Board of County Commissioners proclaiming January 20th as Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Commissioner Jones also took the time to recognize the Rio Rancho NAACP chapter “for their unwavering commitment to advance in civil rights and social justice in our community.” He then introduced Dr. Johnny McChriston, President, and Amina N. Everett, MBA, Treasurer, to receive the proclamation. “Their leadership, dedication, and advocacy have made a lasting impact in our community,” said Jones.
