Health Council Recruitment

The 15-person Sandoval County Health Council (SCHC) represents a cross section of the county’s population. The membership includes representatives local health providers, tribal entities, public schools and agencies that offer services to low-income citizens, among others. The SCHC facilitates communication and collaboration among providers and consumers in Sandoval County with special emphasis on extending services to the rural areas of the County. SCHC also communicates and coordinates with Native American communities in the county to determine how the council can assist in meeting the unique health needs within those communities.

We’re recruiting for new Council members! The Sandoval County Health Council serves to promote, create, and support healthy communities in collaborative ways and inclusive of community input. Terms for members are two years in length and are staggered to ensure continuity of current planning activities. The Council reflects a dynamic group of County health professionals (present and retired) dedicated to strengthening the system of care within Sandoval.

Selected nominees will be notified in writing not later than June 30, 2023, and subsequently proposed to the Commission for the January 1 term commencement.
