Sandoval County Treasurer, Jennifer A. Taylor, has been elected Secretary of the National Association of Hispanic County Officials (NAHCO). Her two-year term begins March 1, 2025. NAHCO, which was created about 45 years ago as a Caucus within the National Association of County Officials (NACo), is a grassroots organization that works to bring members together to advance Hispanic issues from a local official vantage point.

Regarding becoming secretary of the NAHCO Board, Treasurer Taylor expressed, “My goal is to contribute to the further development, improvement, and success of County government here and across the country. I am honored to have been elected to this position and look forward to doing the work of NAHCO that will ultimately benefit all counties and all residents.”

“This new position, she explained, “complements the other Board positions that I hold as an appointed member of the NACo Finance, Pension, and Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, and as the elected Secretary of the New Mexico Counties Treasurer’s Affiliate. Serving on both local and national organizations allows me to bring back best practices to Sandoval County and provides the opportunity on an elevated stage for me to share how Sandoval County works with its taxpayers.”
